You’re a Memory Maker

You’re not just camping — you’re collecting stories.

You’re Here for the Good Stuff.

Laughter under string lights. Sleepy mornings in sleeping bags. Campfire giggles. This is your kind of magic.

You’re not here to rough it — you’re here to remember it.

Camping for you isn’t about escape. It’s about connection. You’re the one who packs the extra snacks, brings the favourite pillow, visits 3 different shops to get the right marshmallows.

You’re me.

You’re why I made SageWild.

Not for the Pinterest version of camping. Not for the performance. But for the presence — the real moments, the messy ones, the kind that stay with you. I’m a mum of four boys. I work. I get stressed. A lot of the time, I feel like I’ve hardly seen them — like I blink, and it’s a new school year. The guilt can be huge.

But when we camp, something resets.

We’ve been doing it since they were little. We started in this massive three-compartment tent — the kind you need a diagram to put up — and when we found swags, it changed everything. The kids were still little then, so we’d share and snuggle up.

One night, two of them were sleeping in a little pop-up tent — nothing fancy — and I hadn’t staked it down. The fly was tied to the gazebo (also not staked… I was so tired). In the middle of the night, the wind came up, pulled the gazebo over, and took the fly with it.

From inside my swag, I could see two tiny heads sit up, blinking into the dark, wondering what had happened. Then it started to rain. We all piled into my swag that night — me and three muddy boys in a soggy camp — and we were safe, and dry, and warm. That. That’s what camping means to me.

Not perfection. Not epic gear. Just being together, and figuring it out as we go. The teenagers don’t always want to come with me now, but they still do. We sit around the fire and talk. We share food and space and stories. I love it.

That’s what I want SageWild to be part of — something that supports those kinds of memories. For families, for friends, for whoever your people are.

It makes me teary writing this. But honestly? I want that for you too.

The Moments That Stick

I couldn’t name every campground we’ve stayed at — but I remember the time we left the hot chocolate on the roof of the car, the night we sang Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’ under the stars (this is a funny story — remind me to tell you about it, it involves the 2022 World Cup and some Bedouins in the desert…), and the first time the kids actually slept through the night in a tent.

It’s never the gear I remember. It’s the way we laughed. The way we huddled close when it rained. The way everyone was just there.

I’ll send more of mine if you send some of yours?

SageWild isn’t about perfect setups or curated moments.
It’s about the gear that helps us say yes — to togetherness, to memory-making, to real-life camping that’s a little bit chaotic and absolutely worth it.

If that sounds familiar — if you’ve got stories like that too — I’d love to swap a few.

I’ll send more of mine if you send some of yours?

Let’s make more of those moments.

"Carry less. Feel more. Go further."
